Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

Yes — a credit card is required to sign up. Most platforms in this space make you book a sales call just to get started. We'd rather let you sign up on your own time and cancel before the trial ends if it's not a fit. Your card won't be charged until after the 14-day trial.

Are there any per-transaction fees?

Yes — a small platform fee applies per online payment processed through Polystorage: 1.0% on Starter, 0.75% on Growth, and 0.5% on Enterprise, on top of standard card processing costs.

Can I manage more than one facility on the Starter plan?

Starter supports one facility. If you need a second location, you can add it as an à la carte add-on ($19/mo per facility) or upgrade to Growth, which includes up to three facilities.

Do my tenants need to download an app?

No. The tenant portal is web-based and works in any browser on any device. Tenants access it through a link — no app store, no installation.

How does the public storefront work?

Each facility gets a public storefront page that lists available units, rates, and any active promotions. Prospective tenants can submit a rental inquiry or complete a full online rental — signing the lease and paying — without staff involvement.

What payment processor do you use?

Polystorage uses Stripe for all payment processing, built directly into the app — there's no separate Stripe account or dashboard for you to manage. Tenants can pay with any major credit or debit card or by bank transfer (ACH), and payouts, refunds, and payment history are all handled in-app on Stripe's standard settlement schedule. You'll set up your payout account right inside Polystorage during onboarding.

Can I bring in data from my existing software?

Yes. You can import your existing tenant list, unit inventory, and lease data during onboarding. We support CSV import for common fields and can provide a data template to map your records. If you're migrating from another platform and need help, reach out to hello@polystorage.io.

Can I use my own domain for the storefront?

Yes. Custom storefront domains are included on Growth and Enterprise plans, and available as an add-on ($19/mo) on Starter. SSL is provisioned automatically.

Do I need Enterprise to get API access?

No. API access with outbound webhooks is included on Enterprise, and available as an add-on ($89/mo) on Starter and Growth — pull lease, tenant, invoice, and occupancy data into your own tools and get real-time event notifications for leases, payments, and lien status.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data remains accessible for 90 days after cancellation so you can export records. After that, data is deleted. We don't hold your data hostage.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Plans are month-to-month with no annual commitment required — that's what the "Monthly" billing option is. You can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice, and you'll keep access through the end of your current billing cycle.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.
